The origins
Our tradition dates back to 1788, in which the ancestors of the owning Vinyes family -with large agricultural tradition- planted vineyards on their land to meet the burgeoning demand of the wine sector in the region, which were exporting to markets in northern Europe. Since then, nine generations of the same family have been linked to the soil cultivating the land.
A family heritage
For decades, the Vinyes family sold grapes and produced wine for local consumption. However, in early 2004, a new generation of the family faced an ambitious plan to widely open the wine to the market. It is in 2006 when the project fructified with a financial partnership which ended up being a project of global dimensions.

Today, Spiritus Barcelona is an acclaimed producer of Spanish wines. Spiritus is guided by commitment, craft and a blend of traditional and innovative winemaking techniques to showcase sumptuous wines from the best vineyards.
